Mold Breaker Guide Empty Mold Breaker Guide

Post by Amira Mon May 06, 2019 8:41 pm

Here on Ninja Village Rebirth, we are all about creative freedom. However, even in paradise there is always some form of structure. This is where the templates come in, the rules, the jutsu count, etc etc. Now even in the Naruto Universe, there is structure that is canon. What techniques are learned when, how the ranks are treated, so on and so forth. There are exceptions to this though, Like Naruto and Sauske learning A ranks at Genin. These examples are "mold breakers", breaking the mold of what is normally allowed. Here on Ninja Village Rebirth, we also have people like that, so we have our "mold breaker" system.

In order to become a mold breaker, there needs to be an understanding that this is not a common thing, this is not something anyone can just do. Naruto had an entire pointless filler arc to learn Rasengan, you need that too. So, let us list what molds can be broken.

    *Elements
    *Jutsu rank
    *Jutsu quantity

Now, we shall go in depth on what mold breaking is for each one…

Element ~ Normally, you have one element until Jounin, where you get your second, and then a third at Kage/Legendary/S rank missing shinobi. In this case a mold breaker is able to get there extra elements early, and, if done right, even earn a fourth element.

A mold broken character can learn a second element at Chunin, then at Jounin earn their third naturally since that is when you would normally unlock one. However, at Kage/Legendary/S rank, should you have unlocked your elements early, you can qualify to break the mold again, earning yourself not only a fourth element, but this fourth element can be a KKG(See element guide for further details) if desired and without the need for a clan.

How is this done you might ask? For one, your RP skills will be tested. You may NOT just ask and have it handed to you, you may NOT just spam post crappy training threads that are clearly half arsed. To put it simply, do not plan your character to have this easily, if at all. Expect it to be impossible to gain, this way when you as a person break your RPer mold, you will be rewarded.

To earn the extra rank at Chunin, the user must have earned over one hundred posts with that particular character (no spam posting with three characters to get post count up). Once you have that, you will be assigned a Mod or Admin to do a training topic with you. This will work like a normal exam in a way, where the topic of the training being up to the mod. You will then do a 40 post RP, 20 posts for each, and no matter how little the Mod gives you to work with, you need to put out AT LEAST 6 RELEVANT paragraphs, with a minimum of 6 sentences each.

Now, the quality of your posts is a big part. IF ENGLISH IS NOT YOUR FIRST LANGUAGE, then please talk to an admin in private chat in order to work something out. For the rest of you, grammar, spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, and all of the rest of the works NEED to be taken into priority with your posts. The next aspect that will be modded is realism. If a mod says your training consists of you learning to draw on that nature, and in your first post suddenly you can, the exam will be cancelled. No one is going to bang out a new element on their intro post.

Also, should the one being tested not respond within two days, they forfeit this attempt at mold breaking (If you are going to be absent because of work/school/vacation/something where you will not be able to use the internet, then talk to an admin. We are not jerks, we can work with you)

4th element ~ To earn your Fourth Element is the same way, only it is a solo thread. 20 post training thread, 8 paragraphs each, 6 sentences, relevant, and a grammar Nazi's paradise. If you have a character developed enough to qualify for this, then you already know what is expected, and you should not have any trouble mustering up these posts. However, there is one extra catch. You have only ONE week from the start of the thread to complete it.

Jutsu Rank ~ The age old question of, "How can I earn a super jutsu as an inexperienced Genin that has never seen combat!?" Well, we are here to answer that. For one, it depends on how you are doing this. Are you learning it from someone, or is it self-developed? Also, it depends on the rank.

Academy Student - Cannot mold break.

Genin - Can Mold break for up to 2 A rank jutsu.
These jutsu cannot be used more than TWICE per day. (Days are relative to in RP times. If your thread stems over multiple days, you can use it twice per day.) For example Sasuke was limited to 2 Chidori a day, and stretched a third with a 1st level curse seal, which still left him immobilized. The only exception is that if the A rank jutsu is non combative, and is instead supplementary or sealing, the amount of jutsu used per post will be discussed to figure out an agreeable amount.

Chunin - Can mold break up to 1 S rank jutsu.
This jutsu cannot be used more than once per day. (Days are relative to in RP times. If your thread stems over multiple days, you can use it once per day.) The only exception is that if the S rank jutsu is non combative, and is instead supplementary or sealing, the amount of jutsu used per post will be discussed to figure out an agreeable amount.

Tokubetsu Jounin - Can mold break up to 2 S rank jutsu.
These jutsu cannot be used more than twice per day. (Days are relative to in RP times. If your thread stems over multiple days, you can use it twice per day.) The only exception is that if the S rank jutsu is non combative, and is instead supplementary or sealing, the amount of jutsu used per post will be discussed to figure out an agreeable amount.

Now here is how you learn it…

Learning from someone - The easier of the two. The first stipulation is that the person who is teaching you must participate in the learning thread. The second; the user must have at least 50 posts with that particular character, not including the creation of such character, clans, or any other means of acquiring posts. Now the actual process. This will work similar to the element mold break where the topic of the training being up to the jutsu creator. You will then do a 40 post RP, 20 posts for each, AT LEAST 6 RELEVANT paragraphs, with a minimum of 6 sentences each, for BOTH the teacher and the student. This is to ensure that the one passing on their jutsu is not slacking off for the sake of just giving someone a jutsu. (During this training, just remember to think about your jutsu, break it down, and explain it in parts like the rasengan. Show understanding of your own creation, and pass on your thought process to another member.)

Teaching yourself - The more difficult of the two. While in comparison to learning from someone, creating one’s own powerful jutsu at a much lower rank is going to be far more difficult. For one, the user must have at least 50 posts with that particular character, not including the creation of such character, clans, or any other means of acquiring posts. Secondly, the jutsu must be pre-approved by two mods and/or admins, the same way that any character would normally be approved. The actual process will work similar to the above stated mold break, only the topic of the training being up to the jutsu creator. You will then do a 30 post RP with AT LEAST 6 RELEVANT paragraphs, with a minimum of 6 sentences each (During this training, just remember to think about your jutsu, break it down, and explain it in parts like the rasengan. Show understanding of your own creation.)

Extra Jutsu ~ Earning extra jutsu is always a touchy subject. Here is the requirements for each rank jutsu.

D Rank - Anyone can learn as many D ranks as they want.
Requires a 10 post training thread at Academy, 8 at Genin, 7 at Chunin, 6 at Tokubetsu, 5 at Jounin, 3 at Elite Jounin, 2 at Kage/legendary. If the jutsu is being taught to someone, they split up the amount of posts needed. On the amount of odd numbered posts, make it an even number rounded up. So 7 is 8, 5 is 6, etc)

C rank - Genin and up can learn as many as they want. Academy Student can learn up to 2 extra.
Requires a 15 post training thread for Genin, 13 at Chunin, 11 at Tokubetsu, 8 at Jounin, 5 at Elite Jounin, 3 at Kage/legendary. If the jutsu is being taught to someone, they split up the amount of posts needed. On the amount of odd numbered posts, make it an even number rounded up. So 7 is 8, 5 is 6, etc)
