Ability/Hidden Technique: Hydrification Technique
Clan Functions & Description: The Hozuki clan was first noticed near the end of the warring states period. The first time they were ever recorded within history was when they came as a group of shinobi to settle within Kirigakure. They held alliance to no other village, and were accepted into the ranks. The clan itself had many different abilities and specialties that make them a great asset to Kiri. They were a small clan at the beginning, but they had hoped that by settling in the village they would be able to expand their ranks.
Members of this particular clan had a special case when it came to their naming conventions. Much like the Shika-Ino-Cho clans of Konoha, each member of the Hozuki clan had to have the suffix of getsu, meaning moon, in their given names. They also had a couple of different abilities that set them apart from other shinobi of the village. All members of this clan had to have water release. This was due in part to their hidden technique, hydrification Technique, the ability to turn one’s body into water.
Members of this clan also were known to excel in swordsmanship, however not all members were known for this. The clan’s greatest achievement in their assimilation into Kirigkure was when they produced a member who rose to power as the Mizukage. Although it was only once, it was still a crowning achievement and proof that their loyalties lie with Kiri.
Kekkai Genkai/Hidden Technique Description: The clan’s hidden technique is known as Hydrification Technique. This is a member’s ability to liquefy their body. The ability is a protean, whole-body technique whereby the user can liquefy their body at will. Due to this technique all members of the clan need to remain hydrated or they can die. The jutsu itself requires the water release, and enough chakra to keep going on stand-by at all times.
The jutsu itself makes it impossible to receive damage from physical attacks. From a single hair, to the skin and muscles, everything can be liquefied and solidified at will. Be it to evade an enemy’s attack during a short range battle, to infiltrate a structure, or to launch a surprise attack in a liquefied state, this technique boasts a high strategic value. Applying this technique, the user can also modify their body parts for suitable situations or even use the liquid as projectiles.
Boasting high strategic value, the only way to contain a user of this technique is to lock them up in an airtight container so they cannot move about. When the user passes out, they turn into a jelly-like state. Since the technique turns the body into water, the Hozuki are extremely vulnerable to lightning release techniques.

Description: Mizudeppou no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilizing the Water Element. After making their hand into the shape of a pistol, the user will fire a powerful bullet of water from their extended index finger.
Drowning Water Blob Technique

Description: After liquefying a portion of their body, the user manipulates the resulting water to surround their target's head, preventing them from breathing in order to either: render the victim unconscious or ultimately kill them if the suffocation is sustained.
Gousuiwan no Jutsu (Strong Water Arm Technique)

Description: Suiton • Gousuiwan no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilizing the Water Element. Using their ability to turn their body into water, the user will reform their arm in a more muscular form. This is not the same as turning their entire body into water.

Description: A more lethal version of the Water Pistol Technique, this technique is used by members of the Hōzuki clan. After liquifying their hands, the user mimics a gun with their hands and fires two powerful jets of water from their index fingers. Direct contact can crack bones.
Mizu Fūsen no Jutsu (Water Balloon Technique)

Description: After using the Hydrification Technique to form a pool of water at their feet, the user then produces bubbles which float upwards from the ground. These are then launched at targets with such speed and force that they can cause great blunt-force trauma.
Requires use of the Suika no Jutsu (Hydrification Technique), however it can also be used if there is an external water source. Therefore not always requiring the Hydrification Technique.

Description: After using his Hydrification Technique to merge with a water source, users can form a giant wave that looks like a demon-like fish. They can use this form to battle larger opponents, or can use it to shield allies from attack. Though it was strong enough to physically push back Killer B in his Tailed Beast Mode, it was not strong enough to withstand a point-blank range Tailed Beast Ball, which rendered Suigetsu unconscious, causing him to fall into a jelly-like state

Maintaining this form requires that they keep constantly hydrated. In this form they can also draw upon and control nearby water by immersing themselves among the liquid.
