Clan Functions & Description: The Garemāru clan is not an old Kekkai Genkai, nor were they originally regarded as important. They were originally a simple family that lived in a small compound secluded into the background of the leaf. The family itself practiced spiritual enlightenment, and secluded themselves from others in their quest to become truly enlightened. They would train day in and day out, honing their mental selves all with one goal in mind. As a whole they desired peace, and they frowned upon lying, fighting and most of all killing. These desires and ways of life meant that there was rarely anyone from this clan that would walk the path of becoming a shinobi.
Over hundreds of years the clan started to evolve and grow new abilities. Through their spiritual training the Garemāru learned to unlock and manifest their third eyes. This was an unusual change in appearance that was later names the Teikoku. Over the next generations the clan’s members started to be born with physical third eyes. At first they would only be there in appearance, but for future generations the eye was able to be opened. When the eye opened, it would appear as a normal blue eye. Through further spiritual training, starting when the children were only two and continueing for the rest of their lives, the eye could “open” again. Once this happened it would reveal a hidden pupil that allows them to truly manifest their spiritual prowess.
Today the clan has grown, and even become a part of the Leaf itself. These new disciples that were born with their third eyes manifested on their foreheads have found that the path of a shinobi or Kunochi could be a promising career. While they still follow the rules of the clan, even those have been bent in some ways. The desire for peace has been extended to realize that sometimes peace can only be achieved through fighting. Lying is still a taboo thing for everyone in the clan, unless absolutely necessary to protect others. Fighting is seen as reasonable so long as it’s in the name of peace. Even killing can be a necessary evil only if capturing and showing mercy is not an option. The life of one is not more important than the life of many.
Kekkai Genkai/Hidden Technique Desciption: The Teikoku, otherwise known as the third eye, comes in two different forms. The first form is known as the sleeping form and is when the eye is opened but staying in a dormant state. The second is known as the awakened form, and comes from years of spiritual training of the mind. These two forms, while similar in that they take the shape of the third eye on the clan member’s forehead, differ in both their appearance as well as that abilities each one is capable of while they are activated.
The first form, the sleeping form, is when the third eye opens up to reveals the blue eye. Once the eye has opened it’s considered active, and is always active henceforth. The abilities of the eye are that they give the user higher spatial recognition as well as increased motion detection. The higher spatial recognition allows the user to perceive things in a fourth dimension with their triangulated vision. Aside from from this, it allows the user to see in a full 180 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically. Higher motion detection allows the clan member to detect a change in the position of an object relative to its surroundings or a change in the surroundings relative to an object. It also allows the user to detect down to muscle twitches and track and process information separately than your actual body. This eye is massively influential in their physical combat and in general awareness.
The Awakened form, (only available from Chunin up + Admin permission) is drawn out only after years of spiritual training. The pupil of the third eye will split apart, revealing a hidden crimson core. Each half of the black pupil will become the eye’s color, and retain their original abilities of heightened spatial recognition and motion detection. The difference being that now the ability is more acute being that each half pupil is still as fully functioning as they were as a whole. The crimson core, however adds a new element to what each half pupil can do. The core allows for the manifestation of spiritual power, making one’s will a reality. This can be used in a verity of ways, including physical manifestations, or corporeal illusions. The crimson core of the eye can bring Genjutsu to life.
